Terms of use

Lading for iPhone. Effective October 8, 2026.

These terms are short on purpose. They sit on top of Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to every app from the App Store. If the two disagree, Apple's license governs the license itself, and this page covers the rest.

Beta versions

Test builds of Lading may have bugs, may lose data, and expire after 90 days. Keep your own backups and don't rely on a beta build for anything that matters. Beta use is also covered by Apple's TestFlight terms.

Using Lading

Lading is licensed to you, not sold, for your personal use on iPhones you own or control. You can use it for your own moves and your household's. Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

Free use and the unlock

Lading is free to download. The free version is limited to one destination room and 20 boxes while you are packing. A one-time In-App Purchase, Lading Unlock, removes those limits. It is not a subscription. Apple handles the payment, refunds and Family Sharing under its own terms, and you can restore a purchase from Settings. Beta builds on TestFlight are free and may have the limits lifted.

Your data

Your boxes, photos and scans belong to you and stay on your devices, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example with your iPhone's backups or iCloud sync.

A tool, not a guarantee

Lading helps you keep track of boxes, but it does not move them. It can't guarantee that a box arrives, that a scan was read correctly, or that a photo suggestion describes what is inside. Check anything that matters, such as valuables, documents, medicine or items for insurance or legal purposes, yourself. Don't write valuables on a label.

No warranty and limits on liability

Lading is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Jeanese Latiolais is not liable for lost, damaged or missing belongings, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.

Changes and support

I may update the app and these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Support is by email at lading@jeaneselatiolais.com.

Apple

These terms are between you and Jeanese Latiolais, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Lading. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and may enforce it against you.
