Lading is an iPhone app for tracking a move. Photograph each box, print a label in its room’s color, scan it onto the truck and off again, and see exactly what is missing.

What it does

Photograph and label every box: Up to five photos per box, a color and short code for each room, and labels with a big box number and a QR code that print on sticker sheets, plain paper or thermal labels.
Scan on, scan off: Scan each box onto the truck and off again at the new home. A box scanned twice isn’t counted twice.
A missing list: Every box that was loaded but never scanned off, grouped by room, with the truck it was on.
Move Crew: Part of Lading Pro. Invite friends and family to help for 7, 14 or 30 days. They mark boxes packed and scan them, and every record shows who did it and when. Helpers use Lading free.
Private by design: No account, no ads and no tracking. Your boxes, photos and scans stay on your iPhone and your own iCloud, and suggestions are worked out on the device. A Move Crew shares only box numbers, descriptions, rooms and thumbnails with the people you invite.

How it was built

A native iOS app written in SwiftUI in Xcode. It is free to try with one room and up to 20 boxes, with a one-time Lading Pro purchase ($6.99) for a whole move and Move Crew sharing, and no subscription. It is in beta on TestFlight for iPhone with iOS 26 or later, and it is going through the same gated phases I use for client work. Lading product site · User guide · Privacy policy
